Inspired by a bad two years we've had for forest fires, here in Canada. I had the difficult task of adding fire and smoke to a healthy background, and then reflecting it in the river. I didn't want this piece to reflect any sort of panic or fear on the part of the horse, instead I was going for a feeling of resignation before the unavoidable force that the fire represents.
